Easy Crock Pot Recipes

Do you own a Crockpot or have been thinking about investing in one? We love ours and it has become a god send! It saves so much time on busy days. You can leave it cooking for several hours without having to stress about it. There are also tons of recipes online that'll be sure to make your mouth water. Below are a couple of our favorite Crockpot recipes!

Chicken Enchilada Soup
First of all, how yummy does this look? This is a great recipe to have on hand when you want a fulfilling soup! You will need the following ingredients for this recipe:
-corn
-beans
-boneless, skinless, chicken breast
-salsa of your choice
-cheese
-salt, pepper, garlic
Place all of these ingredients in the crock pot and season with salt, pepper, and a little garlic. Place on low, and leave to cook for 4-5 hours. Enjoy!

Minestrone Soup
With winter here, we love a good hearty, warm soup. What better than a minestrone soup for these cold days? You will need these ingredients:
-1 can of diced tomatoes
-chopped onions, 2 cups of chopped potatoes, 2 cups of chopped celery
-minced garlic, a couple of bay leaves, salt & pepper, 1 tbs Italian seasoning
-2 cups of vegetable stock, 2 cups of water, 3 cups of V8
-1 cup of kidney beans, 1 cup of cannelloni beans, 1 1/2 cups of diced zucchini
-1 cups of tubular pasta, 1 can green beans
Place all your ingredients in the crock pot except beans, zucchini, green beans, and pasta. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
Once time is up, place beans, zucchini, green beans, pasta and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until pasta is tender.
Voila! Enjoy!

Rice Pudding
Rice pudding is probably one of our favorite recipes to make. So easy and delicious!
You need:
-3 tbsp butter, 6 cups whole or 2% milk, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 cups uncooked rice
-1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/3 tsp vanilla extract, 2tbsp brown sugar
Rub a little butter on the inside of the slow cooker. This will help the pudding not to stick.
Place all ingredients in the crock pot and cook and gently stir. Place a few pieces of small butter in. Cover and cook for 3-4 hours. Rice should be soft and plump. You can add more milk depending on how thick you want it. Season with cinnamon or raisins.
Voila! Enjoy!

Your Fashion Dose

We wanted to share with you some of our favorite trends from the Spring 2016 Ready to Wear collections. You can easily incorporate these prints in your wardrobe. We'll tell you some of our favorite ways we wear these trends!

For this season, we saw a good variety of cool suede pieces. Suede looks best worn with light or dark denim. Try making a suede jacket your outfits focal point, keeping the rest minimal and neutral.

Bell bottoms are in style this spring. This trend comes around every few years and this spring you can pair your bell bottoms with over sized neutral tops!

Fringe! This trend comes in all shapes and forms this spring! Fringe can be very versatile as long as it's the main focal point in your outfit. If you have some fringe boots, pair them with jeans and a solid colored top.

Off the shoulder tops and dresses were seen all around the runways. This is a great trend to dress up or down. We love to rock an off the shoulder top with a pencil skirt for a night out!

Classic cut silhouettes stood out among the shows. This style is great for work or for a special night out. You can pair a similar dress with flats or heels. Have fun with accessories, these dresses look great with a statement piece.

The vibrant colors and floral designs really caught our eye at some of the fashion shows. We love a good print. You can wear a bold print with neutral pieces. Wear a bold, vibrant jacket with some denim and sneakers. You will look super chic without over-doing it.

Did you see some trends that you would like to try?

Fun Games for the Family

Are you getting together with your family for the holidays? Or maybe, you're having some friends over for a holiday party soon? We have compiled a list along with instructions on some of our favorite games. We've included games for all ages. We sure do love getting together and having a great time, so what better way than to make some great memories whilst doing it? We hope you enjoy and make sure to share some of your favorite games too!

Sticker Wars!

Have you ever gotten a sticker stuck on your back? Do you remember how long you wore it until you noticed? Well this fun game is sure to get you laughing for hours! All you have to do is buy some funny stickers, pass them out to game players and have them stick it on as many backs as possible without that person noticing. The object of the game is, whoever runs out of stickers first, wins! Easy, and super fun.

Draw & Write

This game is similar to Pictionary, but vastly different. It's similar to the old fashioned whisper game, Telephone. You need a couple sheets of paper. Tape them together to make an extra long sheet of paper. The first person writes down a sentence at the top of the list. It's then passed on to the next person. The second person draws what the sentence says. The paper then is folded to hide the first sentence so only the drawing is showing. Then it's passed to the next person. That person must write in a sentence what the picture is. The game continues on this way until everyone has gone. You then unfold the paper and watch the hilarious laughter ensue.

Oven Mitt Unwrap

This game was told to us by a good friend who swears it's hilarious to watch. When mixing oven mitts with basic motor skills, it sounds pretty funny. The object of the game is who can unwrap a present the fastest while wearing oven mitts! You can make this game even more challenging by wrapping the gift multiple times.

Freeze!

This game is for all the little ones. Have them gather around and start dancing to music. You control the music, and randomly press pause. Once you've paused the music, yell out "Freeze!" Whoever doesn't freeze or freezes the last, is out of the game. Repeat until you have a winner. This is always a fun kids game, as they never know when you will pause the music. To make this more challenging for older kids, when you freeze the music, you can simply have them freeze but also touch a body part or something in the room. Example, "Freeze, touch your kneecap!" or "Freeze, touch a doorknob!" Have fun!

Crafting!

Another great way to have fun with everyone is making a craft! You can keep this very simple or make it a bit more complicated. All you need are some supplies that you can pic up at your local crafting store, or even the dollar store nearby! Felt is a great material to make ugly Christmas sweaters. Fake green leaves/flowers make a great DIY wreath. Glass vases look beautiful when decorated with glitter! Take your pic and have fun!
