Travel, Explore, Love!
Today we are sharing with you our 3 favorite bakeries from all over America! We love not only the smell of fresh bakeries, but also the warm and friendly atmosphere in the bakeries! It is totally allowed to treat yourself once in a while with a nice, yummy, baked treat and we hope that this list will inspire you to sniff out new bakeries around your area!
Number one on the list is Salty Tart bakery in Minneapolis!
This little cute bakery is located in Mid Town Global Market, in Minneapolis. It is owned by popular chef Michelle Gayer. She works her magic on rustic French pastries like seasonal fruit Danishes and pastry-cream-filled brioche rolled in vanilla sugar. Her crisp and chewy coconut macaroons have become so popular, they've earned the nickname "crackaroons." Sounds delicious!!
The second on the list is, Le Panier in Seattle!
This Pike Place bakery opened in 1983 with a commitment to making Normandy-style pastries. Stop in for tarte aux abricots- a traditional fruit tart with puff pastry crust, almond pastry cream and sour apricots or the Feuilletes, a Le Panier creation of puff pastry with savory fillings like delicate chicken in cream sauce. The salmon-colored space with a communal table is cheery enough to brighten any gray Seattle day!
The third on the list is Sweet Bar Bakery in Oakland!
Mani Niall opened downtown's first artisan bakery in a history building that once housed Mac Farlane's Candy and Ice Cream. It's the latest successful stint in a career that has included being Michael Jackson private chef and running an LA bakery for 20 years. His passion for natural and organic baked goods translates to gluten-free oatmeal sar cherry chocolate chip cookies and vegan chocolate truffle cupcakes with almond brittle. Mocha chip whoopee pies are a guiltier pleasure! Yum!
