Today we wanted to share with you one of our favorite outdoor activites- Hiking! We will be talking about it's benefits as well as how to get ready to go hiking!
Hiking is a great activity to get out doors and explore your surroundings! If you are an active person and love to be outdoors, then this activity is perfect for you! You must be in stable health to take on hiking, but it all depends on the length and location of your trails. Hiking is a great form of cardio workout for your body! It gets your heart pumping and sweat running! You may come across some stunning views so have your camera ready!
We suggest to Google search some hiking trails in your area depending on difficulty. There are easy to hard, vigorous trails. Depending on weather, always dress accordingly! Always carry with you 1-2 bottles of water, depending on the length of your trail, so you don't dehydrate.
Wearing the right shoes is extremely important! Make sure your shoes of choice completely cover your foot and have great grip at the soles! There are specially designed shoes for hiking and are a great investment if you love this activity and do it quite frequently!
Most importantly, stay safe and know where your going. Some trails will have check points to let you know how far you've gone. However, other trails may not have frequent checkpoints. Once again, Google search some great popular trails around your area and make it a date with friends or family! We hope you enjoy your hike and love the views!
