DIY October Decor
October is a fun month to decorate your home. Whether you like to decorate for Halloween or just for fall, there are tons of DIY projects to get your home ready for the holidays. We have listed some of our top favorite projects for fall and Halloween decor.
First off we have these super easy pumpkin filled vases. These make great centerpieces for big or small tables. The Dollar Store has long and short vases available for $1. They also have small artificial pumpkins or you can buy real mini pumpkins at your local grocery store. Simple and affordable!
Mummy cups! These are adorable to look at and so easy to make.
Materials needed:
-cheesecloth
-tin cans
-black paint
-googly eyes
-craft glue
Paint the tin cup with black paint. Once the paint is completely dry, wrap the tin cup with cheesecloth while brushing some glue at the same time. Leave a little opening for the googly eyes to be glued on. Voila! You have some awesome mummy cups that can be used for a Halloween party!
These gold pumpkins are so elegant for fall parties. They are super easy to make! First make sure the pumpkin of your choice is clean and dry. With your spray paint of choice, spray your entire pumpkin and let it dry. Once it's dry, set it on your table for a decadent table accent!
Halloween painted jars are a fun activity to do with the little ones. Simply gather some old mason jars, and liquid paint of your choice. The best paint to use is Acrylic craft paint found in your local art store. Once you have painted and let your jars dry, you can paint or draw faces/characters on your jars. You could use black paint or black Sharpie. Place a candle inside and enjoy an awesome, unique, fun mason jar!
