Before winter gets here in full force, we wanted to share with you some of the top amusement parks ranked by popularity by multiple online sources. Just because summer is over, doesn't mean you can't go out and enjoy fun summer activities. Below are some of the top amusement parks to visit before winter.
1. Six Flags
Six Flags has 16 locations in the U.S. The rides vary from location to location, but every location is just as fun. If you are a fan of super fast, sky high, thrilling rides then you will love Six Flags. They have a brand new ride this year, Twisted Colossus, which is the worlds longest hybrid coaster! They always have ticket deals online and with many affiliate companies.
2. Cedar Point
Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio and has been voted the best amusement park for 16 consecutive years by the readers of Amusement Today. It features more than 150 rides, shows, and attractions. We can't imagine going through most of the rides in one day!
3. Carowinds
Carowinds is a theme park and water park that offers more than 50 world-class rides, attractions and shows for all ages. Our favorite is the Dinosaurs Alive area where animatronic reptiles come to life. It is a great park for the entire family to enjoy.
4. Universal Studios
Universal Studios in Hollywood is a wonderful place for the movie enthusiast young or old. They always have ticket deals online or with affiliate companies. Universal Studios is best known for their famous backlot tour, where you can see famous movie sets/props. You may even catch a show/movie being filmed. They have many other attractions like rides and shows for all ages.
5. Dollywood
Dollywood is owned by Dolly Parton. Who knew she owned a fun amusement park? We sure didn't. This is a great park that is located on 150 acres near Great Smoky Mountains National Park and it is themed around the history and preservation of the mountains. So while your enjoying the rides, enjoy the views too!
