Lets Talk Beauty
With winter approaching fast, we wanted to talk about one of our most prized possessions, our hair! We want to share with you the best products, tools, and tricks for the upcoming season. With there being a ton of products out there, we know it can be a little stressful when trying out new products for the first time. Read below and get inspired to try some new things!
First off, look at what you have in your shower. Are you using a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner? If you are, you may want to make the switch now for healthier, happier, hair! Sulfates are what create that thick lather. This ingredient has come under attack for causing frizziness, and damaging hair. After coloring your hair, or getting a special chemical treatment, salons will most likely recommend sulfate free products. Here are some sulfate free products that have some of the highest ratings! Pictured below are Verb, Kra-Z Hair Growth, Living Proof, Aveeno, and Desert Essence.

If you feel the need to use conditioner after every wash, try pre-conditioning your hair first. You can use Castor oil mixed with a little Coconut oil and let it sit in your hair for 20-25 minutes before you hit the shower. This will reduce the chances of breakage your hair may be at risk of.
Are you washing your hair everyday? Not washing your hair so frequently actually helps make your hair healthier. The less you process your hair and touch your hair, the less it breaks. Makes sense, right? We know not washing your hair for 2+ days sounds a bit off putting, but try to gradually do it, and you just might notice your hair loving it!
Believe it or not, the brush your using makes a big difference in the wellness of your hair. There are different brushes for different types of hair. Below are the different brushes for different hair types.

Hair steaming, the new thing? Hair steaming allows for your hair to retain moisture longer and decrease the chances of it becoming brittle or breaking, therefore helping the hair grow. It also helps increase the flow of natural oils produced by the scalp. There are hair steamers that you can purchase, or you can try it with a wet hot towel wrapped around your head for a few minutes!
Last, but not least, you must try doing a hair mask once a month. Depending on the ingredients of the mask, it is meant to make your hair more shiny, close the cuticles of the hair shaft, and make the hair soft to the touch. Masks are critical for dry, damaged, over-processed hair. So, if you've never tried a hair mask, now is the time. Below are some of our favorite store bought, all natural, hair masks.
